The "Rare Connections" short film collection, developed by Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease, captures the transformative power of storytelling and community for individuals living with rare diseases. Rare Connections in NMOSD explores the experiences of three people living with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), and the recent addition, Rare Connections in gMG, focuses on generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG).

Both films showcase the strength and resilience of those affected by these conditions and uncover the connections between their experiences. They also shed light on the significant impact of rare diseases, including common struggles like misdiagnosis and feelings of being dismissed, misunderstood and isolated.
